Naturally creative with a flair for design, layout and eye appeal.  Diane Beard attended Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, recognizing these natural talents.  She has had the great pleasure to study under Delores Custer, an internationally known food stylist, author and teacher, whose work has appeared in magazines, television, print advertising and feature films.  Shown below is Delores Custer, signing her Food Styling Book for Diane Beard..

Starting to cook in her very early teens because her Mom did not like to cook, and it reflected in her uninspired meals - sorry Mom.  Diane became "chief cook" at age 17 and quickly began developing her own recipes and gourmet creations.  Plating was always important to Diane, and she carefully complimented color and paid particular attention to how she plated the meals for eye appeal.  A natural Food Stylist!

Diane has self-studied from numerous resources and is working her way through Delores Custer's April 2010 released, 400 page Food Styling textbook.  Diane has had the opportunity to study under Delores Custer, at George Brown College.  She has had 48 years of elegant dinner parties, creative cooking, and plating with excellence. Diane has also had practical food styling experience working with some of Toronto's most brilliant Food Photographers. These pictures represent some of her successes.  Each gallery picture indicate the photographer responsible for magnificently capturing Diane's creations.

Diane Beard is located in Richmond Hill, Ontario and would prefer to work in the Toronto GTA.  She is available for major long term projects, piece work, contract, or short term projects.

Diane is happy to work with local Photographers to build and cultivate a working rapport.  Her greatest interest is in the areas of Commercials, Magazines and Recipe Books.  She would also enjoy working on projects with food companies wanting to showcase their products!
